Before you begin

  • A ready instrument rig and free device storage.
  • Free Demo supports takes up to five minutes. Player removes the duration limit; Stage/Pro adds MP3/M4A (AAC) formats.

1. Capture a short take

  • Choose M4A for a smaller recording file.
  • Choose Folder to save recordings somewhere else.

The recorder captures the app’s mix. Stop any pad or click you do not want included.

  1. Open Recordings, open the Recording location gear, and choose WAV and a save location for the new take. Close the menu and start the red record control.
  2. Play a short original rehearsal passage on the onscreen or connected MIDI keyboard.
  3. Stop recording and wait for the take to finish writing.
  4. Rename it Sunday Rehearsal so you can identify it later.

2. Review before exporting

• Tap Share to open Android's sharing options.
  • Tap Play to review this recording.

Confirm the file contains the intended sound and length before sharing.

  1. Play the take and listen from the beginning.
  2. Use the playback timeline/transport to check a later point.
  3. If the take is wrong, record another version before deleting anything important.

3. Export and verify

  • The Android share sheet is carrying Sunday Rehearsal.wav.

WAV works for the basic workflow; compressed formats require Stage or Pro.

  1. Choose the format in Recording location before making the take: WAV, or MP3/M4A (AAC) on Stage/Pro. An existing take keeps its original format.
  2. Record/stop the take and wait for any conversion and file finalization to finish.
  3. Use the saved take’s Share action and choose an Android destination you control.
  4. Open the exported file there and confirm playback. Keep that external copy if the take matters.
