Before you begin

  • An Android device running Android 7.0 or later, with space for the sound library.
  • Internet access for installation and library downloads. Wired headphones or speakers are helpful; a MIDI keyboard is optional.

1. Install and choose your plan

The first-run welcome introduces Free Demo and the upgrade choices.Pixel 10a
  • Tap Start free to begin a Free Demo.
The Free Demo reminder explains the session limit and restricted keys.Pixel 10a
  • Tap Continue to enter the timed demo.

Install InPraise Keys from Google Play, then open it. Keep the device in landscape: the Android performance interface is designed for a wide screen.

Choose Free Demo to explore without purchasing. The demo is a timed preview: sessions last 20 minutes, some keyboard keys are muted, recordings stop at five minutes, and saving limits apply. Restart a demo session when it ends; do not depend on the demo for a live service.

2. Wait for your sounds

Check sound-library readiness before rehearsing.Pixel 10a
  • Tap Download to install the Pro sound library.

Tap Settings, then Download Manager in the category list, scrolling if needed. Use the back arrow to return to the list.

Wait until the sounds you need show as available. A visible instrument name alone does not guarantee its library file is ready. Keep a stable connection, check free storage, and retry failed downloads here. After the required files are on the device, those sounds can be used offline.

3. Find your way around

The mixer is the starting point for building a sound.Pixel 10a
  • Tap the instrument name to open its picker.
  • Drag the channel fader to balance its level.

Use the top bar for presets, recordings and settings. The compact phone layout makes room by collapsing the preset/setlist sidebar when you open an editor. Close the editor to return to the full mixer.

A channel is one playable instrument. A bus combines routed channels for shared processing. The output strip controls the final mix. Mute silences a strip; Solo isolates it. If a sound seems missing, check both its channel and output controls.

4. Choose and play an instrument

Choose an instrument from the factory library.Pixel 10a
  • Choose K Felt Upright from the instrument list.
The onscreen keyboard works without external MIDI hardware.Pixel 10a
  • Play a key to audition the current sound.

Tap an empty channel’s instrument area to open the instrument picker. Choose a factory piano, such as K Felt Upright, and wait for loading to finish. Start with one channel and a moderate output level.

  1. Choose the piano category in the instrument picker, then tap the instrument you want.
  2. Open the onscreen keyboard and tap a few keys. Turn the output down if the sound is too loud. Free Demo silences some keys; try an available key.
  3. Use the phone’s keyboard controls to change the visible range; close other panes when you need more room to play.

5. Add a pad layer

Layers shows which channels respond across the keyboard.Pixel 10a
  • Tap Edit Layers before changing note ranges.
  • Read each colored bar for its layer's playable note range.
Worship Pads can sustain ambience without holding a keyboard note.Pixel 10a
  • Tap a key to choose the sustained pad note.
  • Use the power button to start or stop Worship Pads.

Choose a second empty channel and select Choir Pad or another pad included in your plan. This makes a playable piano-and-pad layer: both channels respond to the same keys. Lower the pad’s fader until it supports the piano instead of covering it.

Worship Pads are a separate tool for sustained background ambience. Open Pads, choose an available key, and tap it to start the drone. Stop it before evaluating the balance of your instrument channels.

6. Save your first preset

Save a clearly named sound before making your next version.Pixel 10a
  • Tap Save to add this setup to your preset library.
Sunday Piano Pad appears in My Presets; it is already active in this capture.Pixel 10a
  • Select Sunday Piano Pad from My Presets.

Open the current preset row’s actions and choose Save to Library. Give the reusable copy a clear name, such as Sunday Piano Pad.

Confirm the save, then open User Presets > My Presets and verify the named copy is present. If another rig is active, select the row and tap Load Preset; if this copy is already active, play it to check that the instruments and balance return. Keep within your plan’s preset quota. Saving a preset stores settings; it does not bundle every external sample file.
