Before you begin

  • A ready rig and writable device storage.
  • Free Demo recordings stop after 5 minutes; Player removes that duration limit. Stage/Pro unlock MP3 and AAC export.

Record the app’s mix

The Recordings window exposes the red record control and the current rehearsal take.Pixel 10a
• Tap Share to open Android's sharing options.
  • Tap Play to review this recording.

The recorder captures the app’s rendered mix, including instrument and pad/click contributions present in the output. This is not a guarantee that an external microphone or other app is being recorded. The Sampler’s own input-recording controls are a separate workflow.

Open Recordings and use the red record control. Play a short rehearsal phrase, then stop. Wait for file finalization before sharing. Avoid capturing personal or copyrighted material when creating examples.

  1. Check levels and stop any pad/click that should not be in the take.
  2. Start recording and play the intended passage.
  3. Stop recording, wait for the take to appear, and rename it clearly.
  4. Play the take back and listen before exporting.

Playback and take management

A saved take exposes its playback timeline and management actions.Pixel 10a
• Tap Share to open Android's sharing options.
  • Tap Play to review this recording.

Select a take to play or pause it and use the playback timeline/transport to inspect a section. Use the take’s action controls for Rename, Share and Delete. Share sends the existing file; changing the format choice does not convert an older take. Delete is permanent, so keep an external copy of takes you want to retain.

Recording length is limited by available storage and system conditions even on an unlimited-duration plan. A five-minute take being finalized does not mean the whole app session is unlimited on Free Demo.

Record / Stop
Starts capture of the rendered mix and finalizes the take.
Play / Pause / timeline
Auditions the take and navigates its playback position.
Rename
Gives the take a recognizable name.
Delete
Permanently removes the selected take after confirmation.

Choose a format and share

The Recording location gear chooses the format and folder for new takes.Pixel 10a
  • Choose M4A for a smaller recording file.
  • Choose Folder to save recordings somewhere else.
Android shares the actual saved WAV file with your chosen destination.Pixel 10a
  • The Android share sheet is carrying Sunday Rehearsal.wav.

Before recording, open the gear labeled Recording location. Choose WAV, or MP3/M4A (AAC) on Stage or Pro, and choose App Storage or Choose Folder. These choices apply to new takes. The app records into WAV internally, then converts/moves the stopped take to the chosen format and folder; wait for finalization to finish.

Select a destination app or file location you control and verify that the exported file opens there. Sharing uses Android’s system sheet; it does not publish automatically to an InPraise cloud library.

  1. Before making the take, open Recording location and choose its format and save location.
  2. Choose WAV, or MP3/M4A (AAC) on Stage or Pro, then record and stop the passage.
  3. Wait for finalization, then use the saved take’s Share action and Android’s share sheet.
  4. Open the saved file in the destination to verify the transfer.

Expected result

What you should have now

A short recorded take plays back correctly and is available as a verified external audio file.

Common problems

Take is silent
Confirm a ready instrument produced output while recording; inspect Mute/Solo and output levels.
Recording stops at 5 minutes
That is the Free Demo limit; Player and above remove it.
Compressed format is locked
MP3/M4A (AAC) requires Stage or Pro.
Export seems unfinished
Wait for conversion/finalization and check destination permissions/storage.
