Before you begin
- A two-channel rig, such as K Felt Upright plus Choir Pad.
- Room for a saved preset and two states. Player allows four states; the current Stage/Pro editor supports six.
1. Save the whole rig
- Tap Save to add this setup to your preset library.
A preset contains the rig; states are alternate scenes within it.
- Open the current preset menu and row actions on the phone.
- Choose Save As, name the copy Sunday Song and confirm.
2. Make the quieter scene
- Tap Verse or Chorus to recall a saved state.
- Tap + Preset State to capture another scene.
Use the existing first state or create a state within your available quota.
- Lower the pad’s mix level for the verse and leave the piano clear.
- Open States, rename the existing first state Verse, and press Save state (the save icon) to capture the quieter scene.
- Decide whether Auto Save should retain edits when leaving a state. For deliberate rehearsal snapshots, verify the saved state after each change.
3. Capture Chorus and test
- Tap Verse or Chorus to recall a saved state.
- Tap + Preset State to capture another scene.
States are useful for mix/processing/controller scenes. They are not a replacement for loading a different instrument rig.
- Raise the pad level to the intended chorus balance and choose + Preset State.
- Rename the new state Chorus.
- Select Verse, then Chorus, and watch the levels return. Check recall options if a control intentionally stays unchanged.
- Save the enclosing preset, recall it again and verify its starting state.
Expected result
What you should have now
Verse recalls the quieter balance and Chorus recalls the fuller one inside the saved Sunday Song preset.
Common problems
- Verse changed while editing Chorus
- Review Auto Save and which state was active during editing.
- A control stays unchanged on recall
- State settings can exclude levels, audio effects or MIDI and can retain the live mod wheel.
- Cannot add a state
- Check the plan quota and the current six-state editor cap.
