Before you begin

  • K Felt Upright and Choir Pad library files ready; both instruments are included in Free Demo.
  • Two available channels and room for one saved preset. You can substitute other sounds allowed by your plan.

1. Choose the two instruments

  • Choose K Felt Upright from the instrument list.

Start with a saved copy or a new preset so you can return to your original rig.

  1. Tap an empty channel’s instrument area, choose Piano, then K Felt Upright.
  2. Wait for the piano to load and play an available onscreen key.
  3. Add a second channel, choose Pad, then Choir Pad. Wait for its bank to load.

2. Balance the layer

The layer ranges overlap so one chord plays both sounds.Pixel 10a
  • Tap Edit Layers before changing note ranges.
  • Read each colored bar for its layer's playable note range.
Channel attributes shape a layer independently.Pixel 10a
  • Tap the instrument card's arrow to choose another source.
  • Tap the Name field to name the selected channel.

Both instruments should accept the same keyboard range. The pad adds support while the piano retains the attack.

  1. Open Layers and leave the two ranges overlapping.
  2. Play a sustained chord and lower the pad’s mixer fader until the piano remains clear.
  3. Mute the pad temporarily to compare, then unmute it. Clear any Solo controls.
  4. Open Attributes > Settings for the pad. If you use its amplitude envelope, enable it and try a slightly longer Attack/Release; listen before making another change.

3. Save and verify

Give the finished layer a recognizable preset name.Pixel 10a
  • Tap Save to add this setup to your preset library.

Tap the current preset name, open its row actions and choose Save As.

  1. Name the copy Sunday Piano Pad and confirm the save.
  2. Open the preset library and recall the saved copy.
  3. Play the same chord and confirm that the piano/pad balance returns.

What you should have now

A single played chord triggers both instruments, the pad stays below the piano, and recalling Sunday Piano Pad restores the rig.
