Before you begin
- A ready instrument rig worth saving.
- Free Demo supports 3 saved presets and 2 states; Player 15 presets and 4 states; Stage/Pro remove plan quotas, with a current six-state editor limit.
Save and organize presets
- Tap Save to add this setup to your preset library.
- Select Sunday Piano Pad from My Presets.
A preset stores a playable rig: instruments, channel/bus settings, processing and preset states. Open the current preset row’s action menu and choose Save As to make a named copy. Save to Library stores it in the user library for reuse. Rename, Duplicate and Delete have distinct actions; save a copy before destructive cleanup.
Tap the current preset name to open the compact list; use the row’s action control for Save As and other actions.
Factory presets provide starting points. User presets and the active setlist pool have different library roles; confirm the destination when saving or importing.
In the user library, New Bank creates an organizational folder. Move to Bank places a user preset in another bank. Rename Bank changes its label; Delete Bank moves its presets to My Presets instead of deleting those sounds. My Presets cannot be deleted.
Preview auditions a library sound while Load Preset recalls it. New Preset and Save to User Presets create user-library entries within the plan quota. Update from Current Mix replaces the selected user preset with the live rig; duplicate or export important work before updating. Copy/Paste and Duplicate make reusable copies rather than changing the source.
Capture alternate scenes
- Tap Verse or Chorus to recall a saved state.
- Tap + Preset State to capture another scene.
A state captures a scene inside the current preset. Use States > + Preset State after setting the desired mix. Rename states Verse, Chorus or Bridge so you can recall them confidently. States do not replace the entire instrument selection like loading a different preset.
Select a state to recall it. Auto Save retains edits to the state being left; with it off, use the Save state button (save icon) to keep the current scene. Test that behavior before editing a scene used live.
- Build a quieter scene and capture/rename it Verse.
- Increase the pad level, capture another state and name it Chorus.
- Select Verse, then Chorus, and check that the intended levels return.
- Save the enclosing preset and recall it from the library.
Recall and transitions
- Tap Verse or Chorus to recall a saved state.
- Tap + Preset State to capture another scene.
States settings choose whether recall changes levels, audio effects and MIDI, whether to open in the starting state, and whether to keep the live mod-wheel position. Set Init chooses the initial state. These options explain why an unchanged control may not follow a recalled state.
Transition settings fade between states with a duration/curve, or time the change in metronome bars. Start on Bar waits for the downbeat when enabled. A stopped click still uses the configured tempo/time signature for bar timing. Rehearse fades while holding and releasing chords.
- Recall levels / audio effects / MIDI
- Chooses which groups of saved state settings apply.
- Starting state / Set Init
- Chooses the scene used when the preset opens.
- Keep current mod wheel
- Retains the live CC1 value rather than jumping to the saved one.
- Duration / Curve
- Defines the timed state fade behavior.
- Bars / Start on Bar
- Uses musical bars and optionally waits for the downbeat.
Import and export
- Choose Save to User Presets to keep a copy in your library.
- Choose Export to share a preset file.
- Android Sync currently uses an on-device test store; use import/export for backups.
Import reads preset files from Android’s document picker. Export writes a .inpraisekey file and requires Stage or Pro. Preset files carry settings and states, but imported SoundFonts and recorded samples remain local. Keep those original assets separately.
Android Sync currently uses an on-device test store. It does not provide a working cloud backup or multi-device sync workflow. Use supported preset import/export and copies of your source audio/SF2 files instead.
Expected result
What you should have now
A named rig recalls correctly and its song states restore the intended scene settings.
Common problems
- State does not restore an effect
- Check the state recall options and whether the state was saved after editing.
- Mod wheel does not jump to its saved value
- Keep current mod wheel may intentionally preserve the live value.
- A transferred preset lacks a sound
- Import its referenced sample/SF2 separately; the preset file is not an audio bundle.
